During the first UK lockdown, a Spotify notification announced that I was one of My Chemical Romance‘s top listeners. Worldwide. This was amusing to my friends, who imagined me playing “I’m Not Okay” on a continuous loop (in the shower, through a carefully concealed earphone on work calls) but, actually, that wasn’t too far from the truth.
