The New Year was rung in with the fervent hope that the misadventure of 2020 was coming to an end. As soon as the revelry ended, though, the realization set in that nothing had changed. A turnaround is within view, but until the coronavirus is under control, the year 2020 won’t really come to an end. It is clear now that 2020 is, in effect, an 18-month year.
